Cat’s Home Repair Project Goes Horribly Wrong
By Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
After being asked dozens of times to fix the running toilet, Rex was sure that he knew what to do. But even with the help of his human friend, the project quickly snowballed into a much bigger problem.
“I had a bad feeling about it from the very beginning,” Marty Maxwell said. “He was all, ‘Trust me, I asked Reddit what to do!’ Well look what you’ve done, Reddit.”
Maxwell was reluctant to share the details of exactly where things went south with the repair job.
“I don’t even know what happened,” he said. “Rex was fiddling around with a wrench and suddenly there was water all over the floor. Next thing I know, he’s fallen into the bowl and is yowling for me to call 911 or a plumber.”
When Rex posted his ordeal to the Reddit forums and berated the people whose advice led him astray, he was instantly upvoted to the front page. Maxwell said he suspected it was the above photo that catapulted him to the sudden popularity.

Preach it! My cat is a total niphead. When I caught him on Craigslist trying to trade my laptop for a 10 lb. tub of Cosmic, I had had enough. I made Guy quit cold turkey. Now he’s in rehab and down to one pinch a day. That may not be a complete victory but considering how low my cat went in the depths of his addiction, I’ll take it
